If you’d rather earn while you learn, with a mixture of on-the-job training and college study, leading to a valuable qualification or two at the end of it all, this could be right up your street. We recruit annually across all four of our sites, Bury, Cantley, Newark and Wissington  – Come and be a part of our team.

Our multi-skilled apprenticeship programme lasts four years in total. The first year involves fully funded college study and a factory-based training scheme during vacations, the remainder will see you based on site with day release to college. Following your first year at College, you will train on site covering mechanical, electrical and process appreciation training.

Your progress will be overseen by a management sponsor, and you chat informally to your mentor any time you need to. With their support and the benefit of business-specific courses, you will build an excellent all-round knowledge and experience of our whole operation. As other apprentices have found, we’ll be behind you every step of the way.



The qualifications you’ll gain 


During the course of the scheme, you will be working towards achieving a BTEC HNC Engineering qualification. Successful completion of the first year will lead to an NVQ Level 2 in Engineering Foundation and subsequent training, college work and practical experience will contribute towards your NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance.

What happens afterwards 


On successful completion of the scheme you will be appointed as a factory-based technician. We’ll work with you to help you build on your skills over the following years. If you have the ambition and talent, you can look forward to our continued support and encouragement for further progression in our Technician Grading Scheme.

What you’ll need 


To begin with, you will need to be 16 or over and have at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent (C grade or higher) including Maths, English and Science. We also look for flexibility, team spirit, imagination, determination and high levels of self-motivation.
